Daily UI

Daily UI is an every-day UI exercise to practice, and, more importantly, have some creative fun and freedom using common design patterns, color schemes, typography, and layouts. Check out some of my favorites! As this is an every-day thing, I will be constantly adding πŸ’ͺ🏻.

Weather App

To start this exercise, I used the MoSCoW method to identify the most important elements of a weather app: location, current weather (sunny, cloudy, rainy, etc.), and current temperature.

As these are the most important, I wanted them to be the very first thing visible for someone opening that app. The location, the temperature, and a graphic of the sun, clouds, or rain are all clear and at the very top of the screen.

Sign-Up Page

For a simple sign-up page, I first established what I thought most important to have based on some patterns that have been emerging in microcopy. Before they can input a password that will not work, I included directions below the input field to avoid that β€œmistake” from ever taking place.

Calculator

As calculators all have a generally universal structure, this was a great exercise to play with color and button differentiation.
